AI or ML
AI or ML means machine learning and related systems, including large language models, embeddings, retrieval augmented systems, training datasets, fine tuning, synthetic data generation, or automated summarization at scale.
Ownership and all rights reserved
All rights are reserved. Unless we explicitly grant you permission in writing, you do not have the right to copy, republish, distribute, translate, adapt, create derivative works from, scrape, mine, or commercially exploit our Content.
Except where explicitly stated otherwise, Ekalavya Hansaj, Inc owns the copyright in the Content and asserts rights, where applicable, in the selection, coordination, arrangement, and compilation of investigative materials, including dossier structure, sequencing, and research frameworks.
Some materials may be owned by third parties and licensed to us. Those remain subject to third party rights and may not be reusable even when the dossier text is licensed.
No rights are granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise. You must not remove or obscure copyright notices, watermarks, bylines, credits, disclaimers, correction notes, safety notices, or provenance notes.
What you may do without permission
You may read and view Content for personal informational purposes.
You may share links to our Content, including on social media, provided you do not post the full text or otherwise make a substitute copy.
You may reference our work using your own words with proper attribution and a link to the original.
You may quote limited excerpts as described in the Quoting and excerpting section below.
Quoting and excerpting
We support responsible citation and public interest discussion. Our dossiers are long form and structurally sensitive. Excessive excerpting can reconstruct the investigative product and undermine safety, integrity, and sustainability. Excerpting must be limited and non substitutive.
Permitted excerpting without written permission is limited to uses that are genuinely necessary for commentary, criticism, reporting, scholarship, or review, where the excerpt does not replace the need to read our dossier, where attribution and a direct link are provided, and where the excerpt is not presented in a way that distorts meaning, removes qualifiers, or misstates findings.
Practical excerpt limits are guidance. For a single dossier, keep quoted text minimal and typically within two hundred to four hundred words total in your piece, and avoid quoting sequential paragraphs that recreate the evidence chain or narrative flow. If you need longer extracts, request an excerpt license through the Rights and permissions portal.
Not permitted under excerpting, even with attribution, includes publishing a condensed version that tracks the dossier section by section, copying the headline and lede plus multiple blocks so your page becomes a substitute, reproducing appendices, timelines, exhibits, or structured lists that mirror our proprietary organization, or assembling a series of excerpts that reconstruct the dossier.
Attribution
Whenever you quote, reference, or republish Content under a license, attribution must be clear, proximate, and complete.
Attribution must include Ekalavya Hansaj with app23513.cloudwayssites.com, the dossier title, the author or authors as listed, the original publication date, and a direct link to the original dossier page. If you republish under license, you must also state that it is reproduced with permission. If you quote under excerpting, you must state that it is quoted from the original.
Attribution must appear adjacent to the quoted text or at the top of licensed republication. Attribution must not imply endorsement by Ekalavya Hansaj, Inc.
Republishing rules for Owned Outlets, Partners, and others
Owned Outlets have automatic republication rights as an internal, non exclusive license, subject to the integrity, attribution, corrections propagation, embargo, safety, AI, and technical restrictions described on this page and in internal network standards.
Owned Outlets must preserve bylines, publisher attribution, and original publication date. Owned Outlets must include a prominent statement near the top indicating the dossier was originally published by Ekalavya Hansaj at app23513.cloudwayssites.com with a direct link to the original. Owned Outlets must preserve correction notes, editor’s notes, legal notes, provenance notes, and safety notices. Owned Outlets must not materially alter meaning. Permitted edits are limited to formatting and minor style normalization that does not change meaning. Substantive edits require approval via syndication@hansajekalavya.com.
Partners do not have automatic rights. Partner rights are defined by the written onboarding agreement and are scope limited by dossier selection, time window, territory, language, platform, monetization model, and editorial conditions. If a Partner agreement conflicts with this page, the signed Partner agreement controls for that Partner.
If you are not an Owned Outlet and do not have a signed agreement granting republication rights, you may not republish full dossiers or substantial portions in any format or language. You must request permission via https://app23513.cloudwayssites.com/licensing/.
Translation policy with back translation QA
Translation is a derivative work and requires a written translation license. We allow translations for approved licensees and Partners under strict quality and safety controls.
A translation license requires a qualified translator and mandatory back translation quality assurance by an independent reviewer or second translator to verify fidelity. The translation must preserve meaning, qualifiers, correction notes, editor’s notes, safety notes, names, dates, citations, and attribution. The translation must clearly state it is translated from the original published by Ekalavya Hansaj at app23513.cloudwayssites.com and must link to the original source language version.
Machine translation may not be used as the final published output unless explicitly approved in writing, and it must still pass back translation QA.
Adaptations and derivative works
You must obtain a written license before creating adaptations or derivative works based on our dossiers, including documentaries, series, podcasts with scripts substantially derived from dossiers, narrated readings beyond limited quotation, books and anthologies, course packs and paid training modules, dramatizations, and commercial intelligence products.
Any licensed adaptation must preserve meaning, must not selectively omit caveats in a way that changes the story, and must comply with safety constraints.
Exhibits, documents, data, and compilation rights
Even where underlying facts are public, we may own protectable rights in our expression and in the selection, arrangement, annotations, and editorial framing of investigative materials, including structured timelines, tables, and analytic frameworks.
You may not extract exhibits, screenshots, appendices, charts, tables, or dossier structured evidence blocks and republish them without permission, unless the specific item is clearly labeled for reuse or you independently obtained the original from the primary source and comply with that source’s rights and conditions.
Where an exhibit is licensed for reuse, you must preserve provenance notes, redactions, disclaimers about authenticity where stated, and date and scope limitations.
Images, audio, video, graphics, and third party materials
Permission to quote dossier text does not include permission to reuse photographs, illustrations, graphics, charts, audio, video, or PDF layouts.
Some assets may be owned by third parties. If an asset is credited to a third party, you may need separate permission from that rightsholder. If a third party rightsholder objects or requires removal, we may require downstream removal even for licensed republications.
Corrections, updates, and downstream propagation
Investigations evolve. We may update dossiers for accuracy, new evidence, legal clarification, or safety.
If you republish our Content under internal rights or a license, you must implement corrections and updates promptly once notified, preserve correction notes and timestamps, replace outdated versions where feasible, and prevent version drift across your properties.
For urgent safety or legal changes, we may require immediate redaction, de indexing, or temporary takedown. Licensees and Owned Outlets must comply within the timeframe specified in our notice.
We may notify you via email to registered editorial contacts, via distribution feeds, via updates on the original dossier page, or via notices through the licensing portal.
Embargoes and pre publication access
Some Content may be shared under embargo or early access conditions.
If you receive embargoed content, you must not publish, distribute, summarize, or signal it before the embargo lifts, including headlines and social posts. You must protect embargoed material from leaks and must not create derivative summaries for third parties during embargo. Embargo breaches may result in termination of rights and removal from syndication programs.
AI and machine learning policy
Our Content is not licensed for AI or ML training, fine tuning, embedding at scale, inclusion in training corpora, dataset creation, or competing automated summarization and translation products without explicit written permission.
We use AI only for assistive internal work under controlled conditions and require human editorial accountability.
Unless explicitly approved in writing, you may not train or fine tune models on our Content, build or distribute embeddings or vector databases from full text dossiers, deploy public facing systems that reproduce substantial passages or reconstruct dossiers, or automate bulk summarization, bulk translation, or bulk rewriting of our dossier library for publication.
Owned Outlets and approved Partners may use AI only as an assistive tool for limited internal workflows with human review, without training, without bulk extraction, and without outputs that substitute for the dossier.
Technical restrictions on scraping, automated access, caching, and mirrors
You may not use bots, scrapers, crawlers, browser automation, or scripts to copy or harvest Content at scale, download large volumes, or monitor for updates through repeated automated requests beyond reasonable limits.
You may not create public mirrors, clone sites, or shadow archives of our Content. Search indexing is permitted only as allowed by our technical signals such as robots directives and access controls.
Incidental caching by standard browsers and CDNs is acceptable. Long term archival caching for redistribution is not.
Safety, source protection, and sensitive person handling
You may not dox, identify, or attempt to re identify protected sources or anonymized individuals, publish additional personal data beyond what we published, combine our reporting with external datasets to target, harass, or endanger people, or remove safety redactions or context.
We may deny licensing or require redactions, delayed publication, or distribution limits for safety reasons.
Prohibited uses
Without explicit written permission, you may not republish full dossiers or substantial portions, translate and publish our Content, sell or bundle dossiers as products, systematically extract facts, timelines, tables, or exhibits to recreate a dossier like product, use our Content for AI training or competing automated summaries at scale, remove attribution or correction notes, misrepresent findings, use our name or logo to imply endorsement, circumvent access controls, or use our Content in harassment, intimidation, or unlawful discrimination campaigns.
Licensing requests and permissions
All licensing requests must be made through https://app23513.cloudwayssites.com/licensing/.
A request should include the requesting entity name and website, dossier URLs, intended use, platforms, territories, languages, distribution breadth, monetization details, timeline, and editorial and legal contacts.
Fees overview
Licensing fees and terms depend on scope, distribution breadth, format, territory, languages, translation and QA requirements, exclusivity windows if any, risk and compliance controls, and urgency. Final pricing and conditions are provided in a written agreement or order form issued through the licensing portal.
Enforcement and infringement reporting
To report infringement, email rights@hansajekalavya.com with the original URL, infringing URLs, screenshots or timestamps, and your contact information. We may pursue platform takedowns, host and CDN notices, search de indexing requests, and legal remedies as appropriate.
Disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity
Content is provided for informational purposes and may be updated. We do not guarantee completeness for any particular purpose. Nothing in our Content is legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ekalavya Hansaj, Inc is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Content.
If you republish or use Content in breach of these terms or your agreement, you agree to indemnify and hold Ekalavya Hansaj, Inc harmless from related claims, liabilities, and reasonable legal fees.
Termination
We may revoke permissions or terminate licenses if you breach these terms, distort Content, violate safety requirements, violate embargoes, fail to propagate corrections, engage in prohibited AI use, or scrape or harvest Content. Upon termination you must stop use, remove unauthorized copies, and comply with takedown instructions.
Governing law and venue
These Licensing Terms and any disputes may be governed and interpreted under applicable laws of the United States of America and India, as relevant to the parties, distribution, and claims.
Venue is San Francisco, California and or Nagpur, Maharashtra.
We may seek injunctive relief in either venue to prevent ongoing infringement, protect sources, or address urgent safety or legal issues.
